rhode island reds

I was given 3 lovely Rhode Island Red chickens a few days ago and small coop for them to stay in. I'm loving it already! They're young, so we don't know who's a hen or a rooster and we won't get eggs for about another 2 months, but hey - I have chickens in my backyard. Über kawaii.

I picture myself walking outside after a nice hot cup of tea on a brisk winter's morning to collect eggs and feed them (btw, one 50 lb. bag of feed - only $10!), wearing flannel, and actually making good on my interest in quilting (*"Little Town" plays in the background...*).
